RENU introduces Zero-rated Mobile Access

Students and staff of the Research and Education Network of Uganda (RENU) member institutions can now access their institutions’ websites and e-learning portals without data bundles on selected mobile service provider networks.

The development is a latest innovation from RENU which recently unveiled the metro eduroam initiative aimed at expanding the reach of the NREN’s network to users beyond university campuses.

The initiatives are part of the optimisation of efforts aimed at sustaining teaching and learning during the Covid-19 pandemic which led to closure of universities across the globe!
