Partners2Connect (P2C) is a global initiative of the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) aimed at amplifying impactful commitments to advancing global connectivity and digital transformation. Launched at the United Nations General Assembly in 2021, P2C collects pledges from around the world – to date, it counts over 1000 pledges from across 149 countries for a total of 76bn USD. AfricaConnect3 is one of them!
As 2030 is approaching and all eyes are on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, P2C and ITU’s mission could not be more timely: harnessing technology for a more inclusive future. At AfricaConnect3, we are proud to be part of the change. A big shout out to the national and regional research and education networks on the continent for their powerful role in expanding digital access and bridging the digital divide in Africa.
Spotlighting new pledges as well as updates – from impact stories to local innovations – the latest issue of P2C Flash publication includes a feature on AfricaConnect3.
